Favourites Friday No.89

After a week of many technical difficulties and some unexpected curve balls, I’m finally back to blogging! And in time for Favourites Friday!

This week was crazy as I am preparing for a very fun weekend (check out my Instagram this weekend to keep up!) and was dealing with a lot at work. My biggest lesson I learned this week is that sometimes you’re going to want to have an absolute hissy fit when coworkers upset you, especially when everyone is busy. But now it’s the weekend and it’s time to rejoice!Read More

Favourites Friday No.88

Finally made it to Friday! It has been a crazy week {anyone who has done public work will understand} but I am looking forward to the weekend.

This week tested my patience, with an onslaught of work and projects coming at a quick pace, with little time to get them all finished. At one point I was sat in a meeting – my heart pounding – wondering if I had remembered to fill out every line on my bid. This amount of worry reminded me why I work hard to be on top so that I don’t have those worries. And it definitely stepped up my work ethic for the rest of the week!Read More

Favourites Friday No.87

There’s such a relief when I get around to writing my Favourites Friday post. It means the weekend is just around the corner and I get to focus on all the good things. And this week it means putting work behind for a few days.

This week has been crazy busy with work stuff. As the onboarding manager for my company, when a new person comes it means adding a whole new set of responsibilities on top of an already busy week. And to say it wasn’t crazy having the new person come on my busiest day of the week was difficult is an understatement. But I am excited to have another girl on our team!

With a weekend full of relaxing {I will be sleeping in} and finally getting cooler temperatures here in the PNW, it will be a nice break before continuing the hustle on Monday.

Favourites Friday No.84

Some weeks are harder than others. Some weeks are better than others. And the way we let events affect us is all about our attitude toward the week.

This week I struggled with being tired and lethargic, but instead of letting it ruin my week, I took a different approach. I forced myself to look at the end of the week as a reward, and if I make it to the end of the week and finish all my work, then I get a special treat. And it made my week a lot better.

As I look forward to my reward (the weekend!) let’s take a step back to look at the things I loved this week.Read More

The sun is shining and the birds are chirping as TGIF hangs in the air. It’s finally the weekend and I couldn’t be happier!

I have reached the end of my crazy weekends of traveling and I am excited to indulge in brunch, arm day at the gym, and not sitting in my car for any extended period of time.

This week has been all about choosing favourites that would make my life easier so I could relax into the weekend. And I’d like to think I accomplished that.Read More

Favourites Friday No.78

After several weeks of busy schedules, and weekends of traveling, I am finally done with a long stretch of zero relaxing. All I plan to do for the next two days is sit on my sofa, drink iced tea, and enjoy life.

This past week was quite a roller coaster. Starting out with a beautiful tour of Oregon wine country and ending with scheduling more meetings than I thought possible, I am always thankful for getting through.Read More

Favourites Friday No.77

Sometimes life throws you incredibly large lemons. And you make a large batch of lemonade. It could be sour, it could be sweet, but it’s whatever you make it.

This week I took on a lot more than I normally do. At times it was stressful, at time very rewarding, but at the end of the day it was what I made it. This experience reminds me that every little step is worth it, even when I don’t see immediate results. I spent much of this week either glued to a computer or on my feet, and while I’ve gotten to this weekend feeling tired, I know it’s all worth it.Read More
