DIY Sticky Note Calendar

There’s something about a functional, beautiful, Pinterest-y calendar that makes you instantly want to do it. And that’s what I’m sharing with you today!

I wanted something I could put my entire term schedule on, but I could still move dates around as assignments were moved around. And that’s where the sticky note idea came in. Why not make 11 rows of sticky notes, with five columns, and put the assignments on Monday-Friday? And that is how my sticky note calendar came to be.Read More

Me + Pinterest = Love

I know that all this time you’ve all thought I was going to marry a nice British man and have cute British children and live in a beautiful Victorian home and sip tea and gab about with my other married friends. You’ve been wrong. I am going to sit on my computer and Pin all of these things for the rest of my life. That’s right, I’m addicted to Pinterest.

I don’t think I’ve ever fully articulated how much I love Pinterest. My mum got me into it and shortly after I joined so did the rest of the female population. My mum is the original hipster. Anyway, I’m quite fully obsessed, with over 600 pins, and 17 boards. Pinterest just supplies me with everything I need, from cute fashion and pretty hairstyles, to lifestyle tips and drop dead gorgeous boys. And don’t even get me started on the endless scrolling, that’s just heaven! What we can learn from this is that I love Pinterest. (Psst…if you want to follow me, just click this link:

Today I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite boards. Fair warning, it’s quite girly, and I regret nothing.

My house board is just funny. The range of items that I want in my future house ranges from crazy eclectic to homespun to modern to classic. But I love it all. Some of my favorite pins include:

Being a self-proclaimed foodie, I cannot begin to describe my enjoyment of being able to Pin recipes for hours on end. It’s a beautiful thing. Plus, when I’m really hungry and want some high-class food, I know exactly where to find my recipe book. Here are some of my favorite foods to drool over:

Ways to Stay Organized

I recently read Elsie Larson of A Beautiful Mess’s article on how she stays organized and I thought I’d show you my methods too.

1. A Day Planner. I bought a planner right before this school year started and it has saved my life. I put my daily goals, my homework, post ideas, upcoming tests, and other important dates in the pages. I also color-coordinate so I can quickly get to what I want.

2. Pinterest. I love Pinterest because it takes the whole internet and tucks it into neat, little boards. Pinterest helps me divide my world up in board that I can look at while I’m shopping to remind me what I would like to buy. I can also make boards that I can look at while I’m decorating my room. And, best of all, I can make a board full of inspirational pictures to motivate a blog post! If you would like to see my Pinterest profile, click here.

3. My Phone. I always have stuff on my phone. From alarms to remind me of a meeting to a note about a new article I’d like to write, my phone is the basis of everything so I stay on top. Some apps that I find particularly helpful in being organized are: iStudiez, Schedule Planner, and Menu Planner.

4. Feedly. Possibly the best thing on the internet, Feedly is an RSS reader. I follow blogs, tweets, YouTube channels, you name it. And when I particularly like something, I can save it and go back to it later. It’s really great for articles that inspire my posts and YouTube videos I don’t have time to watch.

Just Keeping You Updated

With the passing of Homecoming Week, I’ve found my schedule a bit freer. And that means being able to goof around all day. Well, not exactly. But I did get some new obsessions. And I felt the need to share them right here 🙂

I am a pin-addict. This website is the ultimate cork-board idea. Search your favorite items and put them into little boards. I find the most amazing things on there and am a huge fan. I find the best of the best on that website.

I’m talking about the new movie. You know, the one with Logan Lerman. I love Logan Lerman. I have such a fangirl crush on him. That’s probably the only reason I will go see it. Well, that and it’s in 3-D. I’m a sucker for Logan Lerman in 3-D

It’s a game app. You are given four basic elements (water, fire, air, and earth) and have to combine them to make other elements, and then use those to make even more elements. There are over 200 altogether. It’s beyond addictive.

The song by Martin Solveig & Dragonette. I put the song into Pandora. It’s the absolute best playlist ever.

And that’s me keeping you updated.
