Before we get started I want to celebrate something: The first day of Fall.

If you’re unfamiliar with my love of the autumnal season, just know that I look forward to it all year round. To celebrate I even wore a cable knit sweater today! There’s something about a season that centers on feeling cozy, eating feel-good food, and creating a world of orange, yellows, and browns. And as of today, it’s all I’m about.

And we’re back! I am going into this weekend feeling energized, excited, and enjoying a really good book. After weeks of feeling too stretched out, I’m looking forward to a weekend of getting back to my roots.

Highlights of this week were seeing my parents, a pizza party at work, and possibly finding a new apartment. Lows included a major breakout, sitting in traffic for way too long, and our summer intern at work leaving. But overall, a massively good week!Read More

This week was crazy as I am preparing for a very fun weekend (check out my Instagram this weekend to keep up!) and was dealing with a lot at work. My biggest lesson I learned this week is that sometimes you’re going to want to have an absolute hissy fit when coworkers upset you, especially when everyone is busy. Finally made it to Friday! It has been a crazy week {anyone who has done public work will understand} but I am looking forward to the weekend.

This week tested my patience, with an onslaught of work and projects coming at a quick pace, with little time to get them all finished. At one point I was sat in a meeting – my heart pounding – wondering if I had remembered to fill out every line on my bid. This amount of worry reminded me why I work hard to be on top so that I don’t have those worries. And it definitely stepped up my work ethic for the rest of the week!Read More
