If you were checking the Portland weather this weekend you will know we had lots of sunshine. There were sunglasses to be worn and sunscreen to be slathered on shoulders. After an exceptionally long winter, it seems like sun is finally in season.
With sun comes a change in skin, as we are producing more oil and the UV rays are harsh and unforgiving. That’s why I’ve revamped my skincare to take care of this quick change in seasons to make sure I still have a healthy glow while making sure to keep my skin free of oils. Read More
As a fair-skinned woman who looks like a ghost when I wake up after my zzz’s, blush is my best friend.
Over the years I have tried many different blushes and found ones I love for colour, texture, and wearability. It is only when I really love a blush that I buy it again. Below are the blushes that have made it into my makeup bag again and again.Read More
This week has been absolutely insane, and it’s mostly been about getting everything together to move to a new city and start a new job, along with finding some enjoyable things along the way so I don’t go completely crazy. I’d like to think I accomplished this.
I am incredibly excited for this next week to start up (so I can get back to themes) and hopefully my little break for packing and sanity will keep the creative juices flowing while I transition to such an exciting time in my 21 year old life.
As the weather takes a turn and my skin starts to go, “What is this cooler weather?” I realize it’s time to update my beauty routine for breezy winds and misty nights. No longer can I live off oily/dewy skin and bronzer.
It’s time for AUTUMN.
This week I broke out my cooler weather products to keep my skin looking fresh and clean, and maintaining every bit of that summer glow before it fades back into ghostly pale. These favourites focus on keeping matte, moisturized skin and bouncy hair. Let’s go!
What do you do when you’re out of foundation and the best cheap cosmetics store is having a sale? You. Score. Big.
As I stared at my empty bottle of foundation (and nearly cried because I love it) I realized that unless I wanted to eat nuts for the next two weeks I needed to buy a cheaper foundation for the rest of the month before I could go back to the good stuff. And whenever I need a cheaper cosmetic for a really great price I turn to e.l.f. Cosmetics, where for $3 you can get some really amazing stuff! They were having a sale and I decided to go all out with my spending and purchased nine truly amazing products for a really unbelievable price. How unbelievable? You’ll have to read to the bottom to find out!
Also, I am very aware that I have a problem with buying a lot of lip colour. I’m currently receiving therapy for it, and I appreciate your support during this difficult time.
