7 Blogs I Follow

I love the Internet and the wonderful things I find within it, such as blog posts about making candles or how to relieve stress. In the past few years blogs have become the go-to people for any and all information {that isn’t science-related} and honestly, I think it’s kind of wonderful.

10 Tips For Blogging Beginners

So, you’ve decided to blog. And you’re excited and ready to go, but where do you start? As someone who has been in the game since 2011, today I’m sharing everything I wish I’d known when I started blogging.

I entered the blogging world at 15 with no clue what made a blog successful or not. There were good times {like waking up on vacation in Belgium to see this post had been featured} to bad times {my site losing Google rank without warning}. I started this blog on January 1, 2011 because sharing what is in my head is important to me. And on January 1, 2017, I feel the same. What use is the internet if we can’t communicate and share our ideas? So here we are, six years in and overflowing with opportunity!

This year on the blog is a lot different than every other year we’ve faced. First off, I am no longer in school. No more missed blog posts to study. However, I am working full-time and that brings it’s own challenges. But lots of opportunities too. My 2017 New Year’s Resolution was to take life by the reigns. And that means doing everything I can to live the life that I want.

To celebrate a sixth year of blogging, I am sharing my resolutions to not only making this blog better, but to making The Enthusiast (myself) better.Read More

So, Morgan, Where's That Blog Post?

Do you ever have really bad writer’s block?

I do.

This week has been one of those week where you play catch-up for the first half, and then the second half you just try to destress. That’s why there hasn’t been a blog post this week. My writer’s block is coming from a very intense week.

We all have them. And when you’re in college it’s an weekly occurrence. And with my current course load most of my things are due earlier in the week, meaning I’m scrambling to straighten other stuff out for the rest of the week. There definitely isn’t a lot of free time. And that’s my issue with my social life – if you’re not my roommate, you’re probably not going to see me.Read More

And let’s not forget that I watched 67 movies this year!

Here’s an excerpt:
