The weekend is almost here! Which means in less than 48 hours I will be moved into my new apartment and using a stove that was made more recently than 1970!
Have you ever felt the need to hit refresh on your life? That was me this week. Tired, grungy, and not in the mood to deal with any responsibilities. But, as all twenty somethings know, there is no “avoiding” adulthood when you’re low on energy. That’s why I needed to hit “refresh” to get through this week.
Growing up, I was always the girl who “had it all together”. I have an limitless amount of energy and can easily switch between early bird and night owl. It’s not hard for me to get everything done and then some.

Who else is ready to snuggle up with a blanket, hot chocolate, and a book? Nothing has ever sounded as good as a little bit of cozy in my life.
This week has been one of the best weeks in forever. Actually, it might have been one of the best of 2017. It renewed my faith in good things and made me a little less cynical. My therapist would be very proud.
While the last few weeks have been me stressing over finding a new apartment, I am very happy to announce I found a new apartment this week. I’ve been scrambling to find a roommate/affordable apartment, and by the hand of God I found a place on Tuesday that was pretty near perfect.
With faith, anything is possible.
Other fantastic things happened as well (went on a great date, it rained, my skin cleared up) but finding an apartment was truly a godsend as I feel all of that stress fade away. My parents used to have a saying in their bathroom that said, “When you worry, God laughs.” And God has been laughing like a loon at me.
I am so grateful for all the good that I’ve experienced this week, and look forward spending my weekend giving some of it back.Read More
Before we get started I want to celebrate something: The first day of Fall.
If you’re unfamiliar with my love of the autumnal season, just know that I look forward to it all year round. To celebrate I even wore a cable knit sweater today! There’s something about a season that centers on feeling cozy, eating feel-good food, and creating a world of orange, yellows, and browns. And as of today, it’s all I’m about.
In honor of this special day, I’m sharing the small introductions of fall that I made to get myself into the festival autumnal mood.Read More
