How a Good Habit Tracker Changed My Life

I am really bad at changing my habits. I bit my nails until middle school and still forget to make my bed 90% of the time. There are plenty of habits I have that I have failed again and again at maintaining. But since incorporating a Good Habit Tracker into my life, good habits are my everything.

I started using a Good Habit Tracker at the end of last year. After a particularly crummy self-esteem week, I sat down at my desk and made a tracker for all of the habits I want. I’ve always been a visual thinker, so having a chart where I could mark down my progress was incredible {and cute!} As I went about my day, I thought about where I could achieve my goals. This mindset increased my positivity toward things I normally put off, like working out.

When I first began using the Tracker, I was really intimidated at the idea of doing something consistently for 30 days that wasn’t just one good thing, like the Whole30. How was I supposed to keep up five good habits for 30 days? I’ll be honest, it wasn’t easy. There were days I wish I could fill in a box, but knew I needed to stay accountable if this was going to be a successful experiment. And at the end I was floored that I had filled in that many boxes. Me!

For the first time in my life, I’ve maintained habits I normally don’t keep for more than 10 days. I always struggled with eating bad and being lazy and prioritizing relaxation time. With my Good Habit Tracker, I have lost weight, never felt better, been more productive, and my face cleared up a ton. And as I change my habits every month, I’ve improved my life even more!

I want to share this newfound love of good habits. Below you will see a email sign-up for my weekly newsletter, and when you sign up you can download a Good Habit Tracker! Share your progress on your good habits on Instagram and tag me @PotatoesHegarty
