Favourites Friday No. 100

Well hello there! After a little time away, I am back for the 100th Favourites Friday.

The past few weeks have been incredibly stressful. Between a big proposal at work, interpersonal relationships, and trying to get my health on track, both my therapist and I are amazed I haven’t exploded. There have been a few standing-in-shower-loudly-sobbing breakdowns, but I’m coming back to blogging feeling joyous for Christmas and the 2018 year.

This week I let myself indulge in the good stuff. A little pampering. The best way to keep a healthy mind is to live a mindful lifestyle, one filled with things that make you feel good.

The Good Stuff: A Favourites Friday

1. Sunday Riley U.F.O. Oil

I’ve been battling acne for the better part of a decade and still find myself shopping for pimple remedies. This oil has made me stop. Applied once at night, my acne seemed to disappear almost overnight. There is a bit of dry skin {mostly from not properly moisturizing} but I’ve seen such a difference to my skin in only a few short weeks.

2. Portland Night Market

I have been wanting to go to the Portland Night Market since last year and I finally went! A girlfriend and I basked in holiday joy last weekend as we saw all the lights and trees and local gifts downtown. I fell in love with this adorable ceramic animal display while drinking my Caffe Umbria hot chocolate. Shop local!

3. Threshold Cable Knit Blanket

The thing about throw blankets is I want to buy them all, but am particular about their feel. When I ran into this blanket on a weekly Target run I knew I had to get it because 1) so soft 2) so cute 3) perfect size. This blanket has become a routine to drag with me around the apartment, whether it’s cuddling in bed, doing work on the couch, or movie night on the lounge chair.

P.S. it’s definitely keeping my feet warm now as I type this.

4. Trader Joe’s Peppermint Hot Chocolate

This is the perfect hot chocolate for picky cocoa lovers. The chocolate shavings and slight minty flavour make this perfect for cold nights and movies. It is quickly becoming my go-to for a car drink when I’m stuck in traffic.

5. “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” Michael Buble

Michael Buble’s Christmas album will always be my favourite, hands down. Lately I’ve been belting this tune at the top of my lungs on my morning commute. Luckily I don’t carpool…

What are you weekend plans? My mom is heading into town and I am so excited to share my new neighborhood with her, along with some quality Momma-Mo time.
