Favourites Friday No.90

Let’s take a moment to just stretch. Flex your toes, bend your back, and roll your head a few times. Doesn’t that feel better?

In weeks of high stress we rarely take the time to let go of the week. And Friday is the perfect day to do this. We deserve to feel special and important, no matter how the last few days have dragged us down.

This week has been full of highs and lows (high: vacation, facial low: not feeling appreciated at work) and now it’s great to look forward to a nice long weekend to fully recharge.

Vacation Vibes: A Favourites Friday

1. San Diego

In a twist of events, I went on vacation! For the first time in over a year, I put away work and enjoyed an amazing weekend in San Diego with my mom and grandparents. I had such an amazing time eating the best brunch ever (try out Sea Salt!), visiting Old Town San Diego, checking out the arts festival in Laguna Beach (where I couldn’t find Lauren Conrad), and spending time with the people who are a huge part of my life.

2. Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream

Okay, I totally underestimated the humidity in San Diego. By the end of the day we flew in my hair went from mostly straight to curly volume. I barely recognized myself! Luckily I had this magical little creme in my bag and had smooth waves all weekend long.

3. Facial

Breaking news! I got my first facial this week. A little bit ago I met with an estitchian at Skin by Marywynn here in Portland and on Wednesday we tried out a few methods to give my skin a little love. My skin has never felt more loved, hydrated, and smooth than after my facial. It will definitely be something I treat myself to in the future!

4. Sissely Shortie Pajamas

While sweatpants and old tops have been the best pajamas ever, I upgraded to this adorable set for summer and am so happy. It is so comfortable and breathable, not to mention the price is amazing.

5. “The Surgeon” by Tess Gerritsen

After obsessing over the show, I had to read the Rizzoli & Isles series. “The Surgeon” is the first of the series, and so far I am in love. Well written, captivating, and I actually struggle to put it down because I never know exactly what part of the mystery will unravel next. And it’s a great vacation read!
