The 3 Smoothies Everyone Needs to Be Drinking

I am a smoothie fanatic. If it’s not stuck in a blender and in a cup with a straw, I don’t want it. Smoothies are easy to make, can be relatively cheap, and if you use the right ingredients very healthy for you. What could be bad about them?

In my smoothie adventures I have discovered three smoothies that are perfect for my busy lifestyle. They keep me full and aren’t just filled with sugar, which keeps my body happy.

Last summer I went full smoothie for two weeks and it was a really great experience for me that I have tried to improve upon this summer so as to avoid any negative side effects. These three smoothies have helped me to accomplish that, so I thought I would share them with you.

Enjoy!

1. The Green Monster Smoothie

The green monster is one that I have made for years and years and have had lots of different variations of. While the classic amazing and definitely one that everyone will love, for a different/lighter version try peanut butter flavored organic protein powder, 1/3 cup almond milk 2/3 cup water, and add some other fruits in to give it a punch. This is literally my most favourite smoothie on the entire planet.

2. The Flat Belly Smoothie

If the name doesn’t give it away, let the amazing flavours and health benefits do all the talking. This smoothie is packed with lots of fat-burning ingredients that help make your day one of working out…without the working out. I’ve replaced kale with spinach (because I’m a spinach girl through and through) but everything else is perfect just like it is. I love this for when I’ve been on vacation, or even when I’ve been eating pizza with my girls the night before a big event.

3. The Blueberry Oatmeal Smoothie

This pretty blueberry smoothie has oats blended in to make it more filling. I've topped it with some homemade granola to add some crunch.

I love this smoothie because it’s made to have fun with. Plus, it will literally keep you full for most of the day. My biggest substitution is usually doing honey-flavoured yogurt (which makes it really sweet with the oats) but otherwise it’s great just like it is, but as the author has said, it’s one that can definitely have substitution and ingredient mixes!
