The first Friday of December seems like a good time for a Favourites Friday, no?
It’s finally the most festive month of the year and I’m so excited! Time for lights and cheer and love and lots of red and green. It’s truly the happiest time of the year. It’s also Dead Week here at University of Oregon and in three days I will be done with my last fall term of college. But before I get ahead of myself, to clarify, Dead Week is the time to prepare for finals. And I did a lot of that.
This week was a split of getting into the Christmas spirit and caffeinated study time. And I’m going to share with you all the things that got me through it.
Holiday Cheers & Finals Tears: A Favourites Friday
Are you doing my Instagram challenge? The best part of the holiday season is my annual challenge, filled with holiday inspired photos. I love seeing what others submit, and I love being creative with my own submissions. Make sure to join in because your photos could be shared on the blog!
2. Bigelow Vanilla Chai black tea
My body is 90% chai right now. From early mornings to long study sessions to late nights, this tea has kept me running despite the exhaustion. It’s earthy with a hint of vanilla to provide the perfect drink for any time of day. Pair with vanilla sweetener if you’re a sweet toother like me.
3. Shearling boots
It’s cold. And if I’m going to survive I need my feet to be toasty warm. My go-to look is tall Christmas socks and shearling boots for maximum warmth and it’s holiday chic, especially if you go to a Pacific Northwest college. Wearing sweatpants completes the look and should 100% not be worn in public despite how warm you are.
4. Trader Joe’s gingerbread men
These things are my crack. I could eat a whole box in a sitting if I wanted – or if my waistline allowed. If you need a cookie to get you in the Christmas mood it is this cookie. Lots of them. They are spicy and sweet and are perfect with coffee, tea, milk, or cocoa. No holiday season is complete without them.
5. Pinterest holiday recipes
How do you combine holidays and finals? Study breaks. When I’m not shoving information in my brain I’m on Pinterest looking at various holiday recipes to try. While I’m at home I plan on doing a lot of cooking and baking because holiday food is seriously the best food.
