If you love attending parties, you’ve probably ran into this dilemma many a time: Only a few minutes until the party and you don’t have a dish!
Bringing a dish of some sort to a party is common courtesy. It’s like BYOB of the classy variety. But not everyone has the time and energy to make something after work for that party your sister-in-law is hosting. That’s why you need some go-to recipes for when you’re last-minute cooking for any kind of party.
And luckily, you’ve got your friendly neighbourhood blogger with a whole repertoire of easy party recipes just for you!
5 Quick & Easy Recipes for Every Party You’ll Ever Attend
1. Melon, prosciutto, and mozzarella skewers
This recipe is super easy, super simple, and the hardest part is the half hour you need. When going to the store, just pick up some prosciutto from the deli, some sliced cantaloupe, and a block of mozzarella. Stick them on a skewer, arrange them on a platter, and voila! you’ve stolen the show with your food and you had time to do your hair.
2. Chocolate pretzel bites
This is always a hit at parties. It’s just pretzels, chocolate Kisses, and M&Ms. It takes about five minutes to make, half an hour to chill, and is gone in three minutes. You’ll never go wrong making this, especially on girl’s night, and you’re the hit no matter what. It’s seriously the perfect party food.
3. Oreo bark
Have a pack of Oreos and only 20 minutes? Oreo bark is here to save the day. Simply mix the melted chocolate with the crushed Oreos, spread it on a pan, go fix your makeup, cut it up, and head out the door! You’re rarely going to find a recipe so easy. Because I’ve made this before, a hint is to put the Oreos in a blender to avoid the mess that happens when you cut them.
4. Crockpot meatballs
These meatballs are the bomb! And seriously easy. Before work stick frozen meatballs, grape jelly, and chili sauce (or barbecue for a milder taste) in the crock pot. Set on low for about 4-6 hours and when you come home, take them out and stick them in a bowl to bring to the party. Add little toothpicks in them for easy access. Meatballs are always a go-to for me when I’m serving a lot of people.
5. Chocolate chip dip
My dad is in love with this recipe. The dip only takes a little bit of time to make and the biggest part is finding room in your fridge to chill. It’s sweet and delicious and a crowd pleaser! I made it for a party at my house a few years ago and when my dad found it he stole it for himself! It’s really so easy that you won’t know until you try it.
