Sweet & Savory Sunday: My Go-To Recipes

Sweet & Savory Sunday

Welcome to Sweet & Savory Sunday! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and are ready for some more Everyday Enthusiasm!

Instead of making a recipe today, I thought I’d share with you the recipes that I use on a regular,or semi-regular basis. These are recipes I love for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks, etc. This way we can get both sweet and savory on your Sunday while you’re making your weekly meal plan. Shall we start?

Morgan’s Meals – How Every Grocery List Should Look

For a quick morning protein boost

Poached eggs, as I’ve mentioned millions of times before, is my go-to favourite breakfast. I would have it all day every day if I could. Poached eggs are a great source of protein and easy to make – just follow this.

For a meatless, but amazing lunch

Not a lot of people are familiar with the avocado quesadilla. Personally, it’s one of my favourites to make because not only is it delicious, but it fills me up and doesn’t make me sleepy for the day. All you need is a tortilla, nutritional yeast, guacamole, and toppings. How simple this that?!

For a hearty dinner after a long day of work

While I really do try to stick to my pescetarian diet, sometimes meat is just the perfect thing – especially for dinner. This turkey stroganoff (I usually just use Hamburger Helper with ground turkey, but some of you like to keep it fancy) is delicious and lasts a good several meals. I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes a meal that feels solid and fills you up.

For a quick, sweet snack

I’m a firm believer that when I’m hungry I want something that I not only can pop into my mouth, but is delicious and there is lots of! (Yes, I am a snacker.) That’s why these chocolate pretzels are the perfect snack for coming home to! Chocolate, salt, and amazingness all bundled into your mouth! Everyone will want some too, so make lots!

For a party dessert that everyone can share

If you are a party thrower like me, it’s important to have something that everyone can share that is still a perfect sweet treat. This oreo bark is by far one of the sweetest of party treats. I made it for my boyfriend and I one night and we almost ate half the pan in half an hour. It’s crunchy and creamy and great for big groups of people.

For your chocolate cravings

PMS. Bad day. Romantic dinner. This chocolate lava cake has been a hit every time I’ve served it. It’s gone almost as soon as it’s made and it is delectable. Think gooey chocolate meets rich cake meets vanilla ice cream. Are you drooling yet? I love to make this for parties and for myself.
