That Planner Life: A Review of the Erin Condren Life Planner

I am by far the most organized person I know.

Organization is not a thing, it is a way of life. And for me, it’s all about my tools when it comes to organization. That’s why today we’re going to talk about my current favourite organization tool and why it’s gotten me 100% more organized. Don’t believe me? Just check out my review.

That Planner Life: The Erin Condren Life Planner

You’ve probably heard about the Erin Condren Life Planner and all the hype about it. Let me tell you, the hype is right. As someone who needs lots of space to write in to do lists, daily events and parties, homework, blog posts, and all the other hubabaloo that is my life, it is essential that I have somewhere where I can store all of that. And the EC Life Planner is definitely that kind of planner.

In the short time I’ve been using mine, I have already filled it with my life. From birthdays to anniversaries to appointments to exams, it really has become a life planner. I’ve been able to fit everything in the weekly layout so that I can keep on top of work, school, blogging and social life. It’s kind of life changing having this level of organization at my finger tips.

For my Life Planner I chose the vertical layout in photo floral. The front has my name on it so that no one will be taking my life with them – aka my planner. I chose the vertical layout because I like that I can fill squares compared to just lines. And because I don’t take my day hour to hour – rather event to event – I found the layout worked a lot better with how I plan. And the monthly layout is perfect for seeing my entire month laid out in front of me.

As you can see, I like to fill up my planner with anything and everything that I need to remember. There’s a place for to do lists (perfect for a list maker like me), a place for my daily reading assignments, and room for anything extra that I might need. It’s impossible not to fill up the pages with your life because it’s so much fun to fill in with stickers, colourful pens, and designs!

Now, what do I use to design my planner? I’ve found washi tape is perfect for marking several days when I’ll be out of town or doing the same thing several days consecutively, such as my trips to Portland and San Francisco. I love the Stabilo point 88 pen (which comes in 30 different colours) for writing down lists and things because it looks so colourful and fun! The planner itself comes with lots of stickers and adhesives that you can use to mark birthdays, appointments, and fun things too.

Overall, the EC Life Planner is amazing. It has a *cough* cult *cough* following for a reason. I definitely encourage you to try it for yourself and see if it keeps you as organized as it’s kept me. And it’s so colourful and pretty, how can it possibly be wrong?
