Seattle, Sheeran & Sleep Deprivation

Hello all, I am back from my exciting week away! I have so much to tell you, so let me start!

Seattle

Seattle is one of those places that whenever I go there I immediately want to live there. I went to Seattle with two of my best friends and one of their sisters, and we stayed with the other’s older sister. Yes, I am aware that is a lot of sisters. Anyway, we’re sitting on a dock next to the Kirkland outdoor market with the ocean spread before us and I’m thinking, “I should have gone to school in Seattle. I love it here.” But alas, I do not live in a house by the water, I live in rainy Eugene.

One of my favourite parts of being there was going to the lake near the house we were staying at. Having grown up on a lake, I’ve forgotten how much I enjoy the serenity of being surrounded by water and trees and dirt. It’s a special feeling. My friends and I ended up jumping into the lake (in improper swimming attire) and it was just a blast. Here’s a video of me doing just that.

Overall, being in Seattle was fantastic. I was mostly away from social media (despite my complete freak attack at the Ed Sheeran concert) and it felt like the first real vacation I’ve had since going on summer hols. Seattle, you’re always too good to me.

AHHHH I SAW ED IN CONCERT!

As you saw last week on my “x” review, I am a big Ed fan. And getting to see him in concert was absolutely amazing! Not only was the atmosphere amazing (nice and deep and sweaty in the pit) but Ed’s voice (and his opening act, Rudimental) was off the charts amazing! Seriously, not a single moment was dull, and even though I was on my feet for waaaaaaaaaaay too long, it was totally worth it!

Had such an insane time at #EdSheeran in Seattle! What a voice! What a night!

We ended up being really close to the stage by the end of the concert too (as my friend’s sister is a badass when it comes to cutting in front of people) and it was just too cool! I haven’t seen a live performance since I saw Bruno Mars last summer, and seeing Ed was the perfect way to start off my concert season (I’m seeing 5SOS and 1D in two weeks.) I don’t even think I have all the proper words to say how fantastic the concert was. It was the creme de la creme of a perfect night and I am dying to see him in concert again one day. For anyone who is debating to see Ed, GO SEE ED!

Oh, and we kind of got photobombed by a security guard. He gave us high-fives.

Sleep Deprivation

Here’s the thing about going on trips with your friends: there is no sleep. Sleep is not a thing you possess. Which means at the end of your trip, you are very, very sleepy. At one point I ended up sleeping on a trampoline. Gorgeous view, but not so pleasant when there are small children who decide to start jumping. Yes, I have been quite sleep deprived all week, but everything I did was worth it. I wouldn’t exchange a minute of what we did for more sleep. The trip was just too awesome!

That was my weekend! I always have trouble conveying just how completely awesome my trips are because I try to live in the moment. Plus, there is video which just shows how great it was! Credit to Alex for her videos (I still have yet to post mine to Insta) and for being my concert buddy.

Make sure to check back on Wednesday and Friday for more content! I will be posting a big special surprise on Friday, so you don’t want to miss out on that!

Stay classy, Internet,
