Acceptances Revealed!

If you haven’t noticed, I have been very vague about the schools that I applied to for my upcoming move to university this fall. Under the promise to my mother that I would not release where I applied until all of my letters were in, I have had to keep this very exciting information to myself. And as my favorite part of this blog is sharing my life with you, it has been very difficult to keep this secret. But I’m so excited to finally get to tell you all about one of my proudest accomplishments!

When applying for university I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted to attend a school that I could get everything that I wanted out of my education. So that is exactly what I did. I applied to schools that I felt I had a good chance of getting in and I applied to some schools that were a bit of a reach. They are all schools I would be proud to attend and when I have to make my decision, it will be very difficult. But I’m getting ahead of myself, I need to actually share where I was accepted first!

So, without further ado, here is the list of schools I was accepted into!

  • Santa Clara University

  • University of Oregon

  • Seattle Pacific University

  • Chapman University

  • University of Portland

  • Seattle University

Along with these schools, I was waitlisted at Pepperdine University.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I never in a million years would have believed you if you told me I would get into 6 of the 7 schools I applied to. Three or four, sure. But six!!

One of the biggest reasons this is so important to me is that I feel that everything I did was worth it. If you know me, you know that spending time with my friends is important to me. But over the last year and a half, Friday night movie nights were missed and lunch plans were put on hold. I wasn’t the happiest camper having to miss fun things for applications and studying, but now that I’ve reached this point, I could care less that I didn’t watch ‘Pretty in Pink’ for the 90th time.

I am incredibly grateful to my family and teachers for not only supporting me in this process but helping me accomplish the grades and activities that have gotten to this point. It really does mean the world to me. I wish I could give back to you all that you have given to me.

I also want to thank all of you lovely readers. For some of my application essays I mentioned this blog and the amazing fan base I have. And really, I wouldn’t have been able to make some of my essays as powerful without having you all. Thank you so much!

And that is my list! Thank you all for reading! I know my posting has been exceedingly sporadic, for which I apologize, but with my big fundraiser (which you can read about here) done, I will try to use more of my free time (which is still a small amount) to post more about my exciting journey through life. You’ve all been so patient for all of this and that really means a lot to me. And if you have any ideas on things for me to post, I really encourage you to put them in the comments so I can write about what you care about.

Thank you all again!

Stay classy Internet,

P.S. My friends and I made another One Direction music video, which you can watch here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3Udc28_wuE

  1. Congrats Morgan! I admire the fact that you already grasp how hard work pays off and that to cut corners ultimately hurts only yourself. Job well done. Keep us posted on your decision. Caroline S.
