I don’t have school today!
Thank you to the great man above for giving me a snow day so that I may lie in my bed, listen to music, and possibly finish some of the homework that is due tomorrow! Snow days are the best days, because it’s like having a little mid-week break that gives you the chance to catch up and just relax after a few days of classes.
However, some people might be a bit bored on their day off. I mean, it’s the opportunity to be lazy! But don’t worry, your friend Morgan has got you covered. Here are some ideas for how to keep yourself occupied on these lazy winter days!
Don’t Be Lazy, Get Crazy
1. GET CAUGHT UP ON YOUR GOSSIP
You’re all judging me now. But as someone who likes to be in-the-know, I need to read my gossip. During the school week I don’t have much time to be paying attention to who divorced who and who ate where. Take advantage of lazy days like this to read up on who wore what. I’ve been trolling Perez Hilton and now feel caught up with all the Haylor drama (which is getting ridiculous).
2. DOWNLOAD ALL YOUR MUSIC AND HAVE A DANCE PARTY
The best way to avoid sitting on your couch is just to get moving. Download all that music you’ve been wanting to listen to and have your own little dance party, even if you’re home alone. I’ve recently come into possession of all the 1D songs (because Brit Pop is the best music) and had my own dance party making lunch. How’s that for not being a lazy bum?
3. MAKE A POWERPOINT
When I get really bored, I like to make PowerPoints. Today I’m making one about why people should move (it’s a school project that I’m procrastinating on) and it’s fun to use the different tools. However, you can make one that is about your favorite food or even one about why you like Teenage Enthusiasm (if someone does that I will buy them all the cookies).
4. INTERNET SHOP
I actually have a major problem internet shopping. No joke. I spend way too much time browsing Etsy and Forever21 looking for the cutest new sweaters and trinkets. And then I buy them. I’m going to end up poor if I don’t marry someone rich soon. Dear pop stars/actors, I’m a pretty decent person. Want to get married?
5. MAKE THE BEST FOOD YOU WILL EVER EAT
I’m a foodie. Every time I talk about food I say that. Food is a fascinating thing that can take so many shapes and forms and it tastes awesome. My favorite thing about having time is being able to make myself an actual meal, instead of grabbing a can of soup for lunch like on normal week days. Take this extra time to make yourself a delicious, healthy meal that you can feel proud eating. You can check my Pinterest food board to get some ideas!
And that’s how you entertain yourself on these lazy days! Along with these things I shall be spending my day working on rewriting a speech, studying for Biology, practicing for an AP test, and cleaning my room. But everything else sounds so much more fun, right?!
Have a fabulous week and don’t forget to subscribe below to get even more Morgan in your week!
