I’ve been so fortunate in my life to be able to travel to multiple fabulous locations. I’ve seen good places and bad places, places full of history and places making history, and places that take your breath away or make you hold it in. And today I want to share my favorites with you!
GAVIOTA BEACH (Santa Barbara, CA)
Considering how nostalgic I’ve been lately, it’s no surprise this is one of my favorite haunts from my childhood. A beach not far from where I lived in my early elementary years, we’d travel here every weekend or so and have fun playing in the beach and making memories. I love California beaches, and this one is fantastic!
TIMES SQUARE (NEW YORK, NY)
With billboards and hobos and crazy traffic crowding you on each side, I love Times Square. It’s so busy with life and people that I can’t help but love it! When I went to New York in 2008 I remember how much I enjoyed watching people walk by me. Times Square is definitely a great place.
ORIGINAL STARBUCKS (Seattle, WA)
I’m a coffee/tea drinker. And we all know that people like me cannot get enough of Starbucks. So being able to travel down to the original Starbucks is a definite treat! I went there a few months ago and waiting in line for 15 minutes was definitely worth being able to say, “I came, I went, I conquered”.
PIKE PLACE MARKET (Seattle, WA)
This one sort of goes with the original Starbucks, considering it is inside Pike Place. Every time I go to Seattle I love to walk down to Pike Place and look at the hustle and bustle. They have fresh food (with freshly caught fish being thrown everywhere), beautiful flowers, quaint restaurants, and a beautiful view of the ocean. I could spend every day, any time in Pike Place, that’s how much I truly love it!
GINO’S PIZZA (BUELLTON, CA)
The best pizza my family and I have ever had. I went back there for Spring Break last year, after a total of 6 years away and the people still remembered us! If you want good pizza, arcade games, and a friendly environment, I definitely recommend this place.
PLANET HOLLYWOOD (New York, NY)
If you’ve been reading this blog long enough, then you must know what a cinephile I am. Planet Hollywood is my shrine to the world. With costumes and props and film posters and food, I love it! Some of my favorite exhibits were the Peter Pan costume and the piano from Big.
BROADWAY THEATRE DISTRICT (New York, NY)
One of my greatest memories ever was watching The Lion King on Broadway. This entire district is filled with acting, costumes, and dreams coming true. It’s so gorgeous and lovely and is just really dear in my heart.
P.S. Don’t forget about Spring Fling week! I will be posting pictures of my daily Fling outfits on my Twitter! Check it out –> @teenenthusiasm
