Stumble Saturday: Almost Famous

Sorry about the late night SS post, but here it is!

This lovely little GIF is from one of my absolute favorite movies, Almost Famous. Directed by Cameron Crowe, it actually tells of Crowe’s experiences touring with multiple famous bands such as Led Zeppelin and The Eagles. Although the film is fictional, it is completely based on Crowe’s experiences.

WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS SCENE?
William’s (the boy) mother is extremely tight-laced and has this whole on-going thing about him not taking drugs. After his mother allows him to travel with Stillwater to California, William arrives at the hotel to find this lovely note waiting for him at the front desk.

WHY DO YOU LIKE THIS MOVIE?
I’m sorry, but what is there not to like about this movie? I love how it’s based on true events, how it’s cleverly written, how Patrick Fugit is so adorable about everything, how they really capture the feeling of 1969, and the great music.

FAVORITE SCENE?
All of them? I’m serious. Each scene brings something to the table. I really can’t choose a favorite.

And that’s all I really have to say about my Almost Famous┬áSS (I’ve started abbreviating to be cooler). Please see this movie because it’s really an influential part of what I talk about here with movies.

Hope you all had fantastic holidays!
