I love New York City. I went in March of 2009 with a group of people from my school. We only spent a day in NYC, but it was the best nineteen hours of my life.
Favorite thing about NYC
The way it looks. The more old-timey parts are so quaint and movie-esque. The more modern parts, like Times Square, are breathtaking. Even spending twenty minutes there is better than going to see Toy Story 3. The entire city is so exciting and it brings your adrenaline to a new high as you take in every sight. I love New York City very much.
What did you do in NYC?
We arrived there in the morning, after spending the night in New Jersey, and were ready for the city we’d all been excited for on this trip. We all separated into our smaller groups and agreed to meet together in a few hours. I was with one of my friends and her parents. We took the ferry to Staten Island and saw the Statue of Liberty. Then we went to Radio Park and I bought myself some ‘I <3 New York City’ gear. It still fits me. We had dinner at ESPN, where I bought my brother something since he loves ESPN. After dinner, we spent half an hour in Times Square then went to go see The Lion King on Broadway!
Part of the trip was going and seeing The Lion King. It’s one of my favorite Disney movies, so seeing it on Broadway just blew my mind! The characters were incredible and the actor who played as Simba was only 8. 8! Yep, it was one of the most unforgettable moments of my life.
Would you go to NYC again?
In a heartbeat. I’d love to live there one day. It is the heart and soul of the magazine/writing community and that’s where I want to live. Let’s cross our fingers it comes true!
And that, my dear readers, is this weeks Stumble Saturday. Keep on reading for next Saturdays and the posts that will come in between! Remember to check out my Facebook page for any updates or fun things!
