It’s 2 days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out!
I can’t believe it’s only 2 days. It feels like only a few short hours ago the premiere felt years away and now it’s only a few short days. And this film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is one of my favorite topics.
This is the first of the two Harry Potter films I have seen in theaters. I saw it with my close friend Amanda on a fun summer afternoon. We gasped when the Inferi came out the lake and grabbed Harry. We laughed at the right places. And we clapped like loons when it was over.
Here’s a quick synopsis to get you hooked (courtesy of IMDB):
In the sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, and in both wizard and Muggle worlds Lord Voldemort and his henchmen are increasingly active. With vacancies to fill at Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore persuades Horace Slughorn, back from retirement to become the potions teacher, while Professor Snape receives long awaited news. Harry Potter, together with Dumbledore, must face treacherous tasks to defeat his evil nemesis.
I love this. It is my second favorite Harry Potter film and for good reasons. It has relative flow, is interesting looking, and is a good adaptation of the book it comes from.
My favorite part in the entire film? It is most definitely the part where Ron and Lavender get together and Hermione is heart broken, because it is the first time we really see feelings between Hermione and Ron.
My least favorite part in the entire film? When they burn the burrow. Where does that happen in the book?
Continue checking tomorrow for the end of Countdown to Harry Potter! I’m super excited for Friday and I hope you are all too!
