Countdown to Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets

It’s 6 days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out!

As the second installment in our Countdown to Harry Potter series, I would like to direct your attention to the second Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

In this thrilling film, Harry returns to school to find that a monster that has been hidden for years has awakened. He fights off basilisks, travels back into the past, and faces his worst enemy, He Who Must Not Be Named. Most definitely a film that action-lovers will enjoy!

My favorite story about Chamber of Secrets is what happened before I actually saw the film. One night in the second grade, I was reading one of my Archie comics (do you remember those?) and flipped to the inside cover. They had an advertisement for Chamber of Secrets that basically was just Dobby, the little house-elf that wants to save Harry Potter. Well, as from the picture below, he is a little scary looking.

This picture affected me for a year. Every night until I was in the fourth grade, I would have nightmares about Dobby’s face. He was so scary looking! I had to have the hallway light on, with mine and my parents’ doors open, with complete reassurance that I would not be attacked by this house elf.

So, that is my fun little story about Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I do recommend this film for people who love paranormal and action, because this film definitely has all of that. Super fun to watch, but definitely not my favorite.

Join us for the next 5 days as we wait until the July 15 US premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Countdown to Harry Potter! Thank you for reading!

  1. Hi, I am new to blogging and websites in general and was wanting to know how you got the “www” included in your web address name?
I see your web address, “http://teenenthusiasm.com/2011/07/09/countdown-to-harry-potter-chamber-of-secrets/” has the www
and my domain looks like, “http://mydomain.com”. Do you know
the correct way I can alter this? I’m using WordPress. Thanks

  2. Rowling has admitted to spending time in therapy before the success of
the Potter series, living in poverty and recovering
from a failed marriage. Harry Potter mesmerizes with his hidden magical
powers that help him successfully overcome scary dark forces.
It cannot be contested that Harry Potter has enthralled and
enchanted millions all over the globe.
