Now, I know I usually don’t talk about the things that I do, but today was so bloomin’ cool that I just couldn’t help but share.
We had an assembly today for school. The assembly was a ROCK CONCERT! Yes, you heard me right, a rock concert. We had the Army Volunteer Band come and play some songs for us. One of the best 45 minutes of my life!
They started off with two songs that I’ve never heard before but were quite good. The guitarist was actually giving out high-fives! Then they started singing “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry, ‘Billionaire” by Travis McCoy, “Animal” by Neon Trees, and lots of other popular songs that I can’t completely remember. The bassist actually came up to where me and my friends were sitting and gave us high-fives and did a little solo for us. I felt like the VIP of the assembly! But it really was an amazing assembly. Much better than having the cheerleaders waving their pom-poms and people getting awards for being slightly more brilliant than the rest of us. Anyway, I had a really fun time watching the band and I hope you enjoy these pictures!
